The Vertical Form –Fill- Seal (VFFS) machine being inaugurated by Mr. Sujit Kadakia from Societe Generale.

Societe Generale in partnership with Action Against Hunger inaugurated a new packaging machine at Sion Hospital’s Nutrition Rehabilitation Center in Mumbai on 17th July 2018.

Mumbai, 20 June 2018:

The Dawoodi Bohra community, in partnership with Action Against Hunger, launched Project Rise at Govandi, Mumbai. Project Rise aims to contribute towards alleviating hunger in some of the poorest parts of India and significantly raise health and nutrition levels of children suffering from severe malnutrition.

With the objective of combatting acute malnutrition in Amravati, Action Against Hunger launched its first Outpatient Treatment Centre (OTC) under the NAOS village project on 12th June 2018. The newly launched centre, at the Sadrabadi PHC (Primary Health Centre), is the 1st of 3 OTC’s that will be set up under the project.

58% acutely malnourished children under POSHAN Baran cured

POSHAN Baran, a program to combat malnutrition in Rajasthan, implemented jointly by Action Against Hunger / Action Against Hunger, National Health Mission (NHM) and Integrated Child Development Service, Department of Women & Child Development (ICDS) resulted in recovery of 58% acutely malnourished children enrolled for treatment.
