The Covid19 pandemic has worsened an already existing malnutrition crisis for vulnerable families. With no income and restricted access to services, their future remains uncertain. We are working with the state Governments of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan to mitigate this crisis. Having already delivered monthly food rations to nearly 600 families, 100,000 face mask, over 9000 hand sanitizer bottles and 10,000 gloves to government workers, we are working to ensure Government health workers continue serving vulnerable families and provide them crucial health services without succumbing to Covid19.
Helping us out in this crucial endeavor are children from Ecole Mondiale World School through the Young Heroes campaign.
How does the Young Heroes campaign work?
Participating children express their solidarity with families suffering during the lockdown in various creative ways; spread the word in their network through social media, WhatsApp messages, and fundraising pages and raise money for the campaign. Students at Ecole Mondiale World School came up with an out of the box idea of blending learning and fundraising! The French, Spanish and Hindi language club at Ecole Mondiale World School are creating informational material in the 3 languages which includes do’s and don’ts on Covid19, coping with confinement and busting common myths. With the help of these posters and videos, the students are raising vital funds from their network of family and friends. View the wrok done by the French club, Hindi club and Spanish club.
