DEVELOPMENT PARTNER'S WORKSHOP ON NUTRITION - 29th APRIL 2017
Madhya Pradesh is a leading state in India in terms of malnutrition. In support of the above cause, Action Against Hunger-India organised a state level ‘Workshop on Nutrition’ in Bhopal on the 29th of April where a host of development partners including UNICEF, Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare (WISH Foundation), Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), CARE India, Save the Children, Johns Hopkins Program for International Education in Gynaecology and Obstetrics (JHPIEGO), Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), Evidence Action, NHM and ICDS participated with the Coalition for Food and Nutrition Security (CFNS).
The workshop was intended towards sharing -
- a) Knowledge on all aspects of nutrition.
- b) The main outcomes of AAH/FHF’s interventions in Burhanpur district, Madhya Pradesh, and
- c) Information about the CMAM pilot (POSHAN) implemented by NHM, Rajasthan.
The workshop saw a participation of 47 members. It brought about a clear pathway for all development partners to strategize a plan of action to address the burden of malnutrition in the state. The workshop provided common platform to all the development partners to address the issue of malnutrition.
