Media Appreciation Workshop-Jaipur 18th May 2019

In order to create an enabling environment to support the increase of access to IMAM (Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition) services in Rajasthan through advocacy activities, policy makers and parliamentarians, media, officials at the state, district and block levels, PRIs and the community were targeted. The positive role of media and their influence to spread awareness on malnutrition and POSHAN/CMAM programme in Rajasthan is essential. The targeted media engagement has created a constructive image on POSHAN (Proactive and Optimum zcare of children, through Social- Household Approach for Nutrition) for treating SAM children among the general population, policymakers and media, which was helpful for implementation the POSHAN-II programme in Rajasthan. During the project duration from August 2016 to March 2019, Action Against Hunger India mobilized 197 media persons from vernacular media to State level media persons and 149 press released have been handed out. For their voluntary efforts and activities in the right direction, Action Against Hunger India organized a "Media Appreciation Workshop" on 18th May to invite representatives of print and electronic media at Hotel Four points in Jaipur from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm.
